“Moonrise” is part of a 4-piece series that kicked off my entire “un/Bounded” collection. Each piece is a miniature landscape framed within a white border reminiscent of the shape of an airplane window. Playing around with framing the landscapes inside of white borders was the first step towards the larger pieces in this collection. The particular piece depicts the tiny full moon rising over the dunes of Ocean Beach. It brings me a lot of peace.
